Certificate serial numbers
Serial numbers are generated automatically when a certificate is created. This feature works the same on Free, Pro and Business.
Format
The format is PREFIX-{YEAR}-{SEQ}, for example GEMA-2025-00142. Under Serial Settings you can configure the prefix, whether the year is included, sequence length, an optional suffix, and the reset period.
Assign serials to existing records
Use Bulk Serials to assign serial numbers to records that don't have one yet.
